Seedance 2.5 vs Wan 3.0 vs HappyHorse 1.1
Spicy Studio's side-by-side of Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.5 and HappyHorse 1.1: inputs, clip length, resolution, sound, references, credits per second and 18+ use.
Who Wrote This and What It Compares
Spicy Studio wrote this comparison, and all three models run in our Video Lab, so read it as a guide to what each one does here, not a neutral benchmark. It has no quality scores. It compares inputs, outputs and credit costs for the versions Spicy Studio offers, which can differ from the makers' own apps and APIs.
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's newest video model and the mainstream one of the three. Wan 3.0, the newest major version of Alibaba's Wan model, runs here as Spicy UNCENSORED Video, and HappyHorse 1.1, also from Alibaba, runs as an image-to-video model; both are 18+.
The Quick Pick
Copy a camera move or time a clip to music: Seedance 2.5, the only one of the three that takes a reference video and reference audio.
The longest clip for the fewest credits, or 18+ scenes with fictional adults: Wan 3.0, from 6 credits a second and up to 30 seconds.
Make one finished image move: HappyHorse 1.1, which needs only the image; the prompt is optional.
What Each Model Takes as Input
Seedance 2.5: text, a first and/or last frame, or references: up to 10 images, a 2–30 second video and an audio track of up to 30 seconds (audio needs an image or video beside it). Frames and references don't combine in one run.
Wan 3.0: a prompt is always required. Add a first frame to animate an image and, if you want, a last frame for the ending. Spicy Studio's version takes no reference images, video or audio, although Alibaba's own API does.
HappyHorse 1.1: a first frame is required (JPEG, PNG or WEBP, up to 10 MB), and the prompt (up to 2,500 characters) is optional. There's no text-to-video, reference or last-frame option here, though Alibaba's own API has the first two.
Length, Resolution and Sound
Clip length: Seedance 2.5 runs 4–30 seconds, Wan 3.0 2–30 and HappyHorse 1.1 3–15.
Resolution: 480p, 720p and 1080p on Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0; 720p and 1080p on HappyHorse 1.1.
Aspect ratio: Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 offer adaptive, 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 and 3:4, with 21:9 on Seedance 2.5 only. HappyHorse 1.1 keeps your image's shape.
Audio: Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 generate native audio, switched on by default, at no extra cost. HappyHorse 1.1 has no audio on Spicy Studio.
Credits per Second, With Real Clip Prices
Seedance 2.5: 480p costs 10 credits a second, 720p 22 and 1080p 39; once a reference video is attached, reference and output seconds cost 6, 13 or 23 each.
Wan 3.0: 6 / 13 / 25 a second, with a 26-credit minimum per clip.
HappyHorse 1.1: 14 a second at 720p and 19 at 1080p.
An 8-second vertical clip at 720p costs 176 credits on Seedance 2.5, 104 on Wan 3.0 and 112 on HappyHorse 1.1. At 1080p, HappyHorse 1.1 becomes the cheapest: 15 seconds costs 285 credits, against 375 on Wan 3.0 and 585 on Seedance 2.5. A full 30 seconds at 720p is 390 credits on Wan 3.0 and 660 on Seedance 2.5; HappyHorse 1.1 would need two 15-second clips (420 credits) and an edit.
None of them fits in the 25 free sign-up credits: the cheapest possible runs cost 26 credits on Wan 3.0, 36 on Seedance 2.5 (4 seconds at 480p with a 2-second reference) and 42 on HappyHorse 1.1.
The 18+ Question
Seedance 2.5 is a mainstream model. HappyHorse 1.1 and Wan 3.0, which runs here as Spicy UNCENSORED Video, are two of Spicy Studio's four 18+ models, and the Terms set the rules: - You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher. - Content shows fictional adults or consenting adults only; a real, identifiable person needs documented consent. - Never minors or anyone who looks like one, and nothing non-consensual. Automated moderation blocks prohibited content, and violations end the account.
Put adult ages in prompts, such as “a 32-year-old woman”. Generations are private to your account by default, and nothing made with the mature models is used for marketing or promotion. More in the privacy and rules guide.
Kling 3.0 as a Fourth Option
Kling 3.0 is a mainstream choice for short clips: a start frame is required, an end frame is optional, and clips run 5 or 10 seconds. Standard (720p) costs 12 credits a second and Pro (1080p) 16, or 1.5 times that with sound, so 5 seconds of Standard is 60 credits. The Kling 3.0 guide covers it.
Test Two Models on the Same Idea
Specs only narrow the field. Take one first frame and one prompt and run a 5-second draft on two models: 30 credits on Wan 3.0 at 480p, 50 on Seedance 2.5 at 480p or 70 on HappyHorse 1.1 at 720p. Compare motion, faces and prompt fidelity, then render only the winner at full length. Each model has its own guide: Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and HappyHorse 1.1.
