AI Face Swap for Photos, With Lighting and Pose Kept Intact
Face Swap takes the face from one picture and puts it into another. You upload two images: a source image, whose body, pose and scene stay where they are, and a target face, the face that replaces the original one. Spicy Face Swap keeps the composition and lighting of the source, so the new face sits in the same light and at the same angle as the rest of the photo.
It is made for still photos, not video, and for faces you are entitled to use: your own, fictional or AI-generated ones, or a real person who has agreed to it. Using anyone’s face without their consent is not allowed.
How to swap a face in a photo
Upload the source image
Pick the photo you want to keep. Its body, pose, background and light carry over to the result. JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP files up to 50 MB are accepted.
Add the target face
Upload a picture of the face that should appear in the source. A sharp, evenly lit face that isn’t covered by hands, hair or sunglasses works best.
Choose size and format
Select 2K for 12 credits or 4K for 15, then an aspect ratio: 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9 or 9:16.
Swap and review
The cost appears next to the Swap Face button before you spend anything, and a swap that fails is refunded. Results usually arrive within a few seconds; check the hairline and the rims of any glasses before you download.

Spicy Face Swap
The face-replacement model behind this page. It exchanges the face in your source image for the target face and leaves composition, lighting and pose as they were. Photos only.
2K, 12 credits
A sensible size for social posts, profile pictures and anything viewed on a screen.
4K, 15 credits
More pixels for printing or cropping in. Need more still? Image Upscale takes a finished swap up to 8K.

Whose face you can use
- Your own face, in any scene you build.
- Fictional or AI-generated faces, for example a character you designed in the Image Lab.
- A real person who has consented to having their face used.
- Nobody else. Without consent a face is off limits, whether it belongs to a celebrity, a colleague or a stranger whose photo you found online. Sexual or intimate images of real people are not allowed, and anything involving minors is prohibited.
What people use Face Swap for
- Putting themselves into a styled scene: a period costume, a film-poster set-up, a travel backdrop.
- Keeping one AI character’s face the same across a whole set of images.
- Trying out a new look or costume before committing to it.
- Recreating a look from the Templates gallery with their own face.

Face Swap FAQ
Whose face am I allowed to use?
Your own, a fictional or AI-generated face, or a real person who has consented. Swapping in anyone without their consent is not allowed, and sexual or intimate images of real people are never permitted.
How many credits does a face swap cost?
12 credits at 2K and 15 at 4K, shown next to the Swap Face button before you start. The 25 free credits on a new account cover two swaps at 2K.
Can I swap a face in a video?
No, Face Swap only works on photos. To animate a character, use Character Swap, which moves a character image with the motion of a reference video instead of editing existing footage.
Which photos give the most natural result?
A source image in which the face is clearly visible, plus a target face that is sharp and well lit. Lighting and pose come from the source, so choose the source for the scene you want to end up with.
What happens to the photos I upload?
Spicy Studio and the AI provider that runs the model process them; they are stored temporarily during generation and may be retained for service improvement. You keep ownership and can request deletion at any time, as the Privacy Policy explains.
Are swapped images marked as AI-generated?
Yes, every output carries machine-readable metadata that marks it as AI-generated. Under the Terms you are responsible for having consent for the faces you upload and for how you use the result.
