AI Image Generator: Create and Edit Pictures With Eight Models

Image Lab is the text-to-image workspace in Spicy Studio. Write what you want to see, choose a model and the picture is usually ready within seconds. Attach photos of your own and the same prompt box turns into an editor: swap a background, restyle an outfit, put a product on a new set or merge several references into one scene.

Every model shares the same controls, so comparing them takes one click: run an idea through GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2.1 and Spicy Imagine Pro (Seedream 5.0) and keep the strongest result. A finished image can then be upscaled, animated in the Video Lab or expanded into Multi-Shot angles.

How to generate an image from text

  1. Describe the picture

Type the subject, setting, light and style into the prompt box. Concrete details (“a ceramic mug on a linen tablecloth, morning window light, shallow depth of field”) work better than a pile of adjectives.

  2. Pick a model and a format

Choose a model, then the aspect ratio and resolution. Most models offer ten ratios from 21:9 to 9:16; GPT Image 2.5 adds 3:1 and 1:3 banners and five quality levels.

  3. Add references if you need them

To keep a face, a product or a layout, upload reference images (up to 14 for Nano Banana, 16 for GPT Image, 10 for Spicy Imagine Pro) and say in the prompt what should change.

  4. Generate, compare, download

The cost in credits shows next to the Generate button before you spend anything. Reuse the prompt for variations and download the one you like.

Image Lab FAQ

How many credits does an image cost?

It depends on the model and settings, and the price is shown before you generate. A 1K draft with GPT Image 2.5 starts at 4 credits, Nano Banana 2.1 costs 12 at 2K and Spicy Imagine Pro 8 at 2K. New accounts get 25 free credits; plans start at €10 a month for 600 credits.

Which model is best for text inside an image?

GPT Image 2.5, with GPT Image 2 as the alternative. Put the exact words in quotation marks in your prompt and raise the quality level when the lettering is small.

Can I edit a photo I already have?

Yes. Upload it as a reference and describe the change, for example “replace the sky with a sunset” or “make the jacket red”. Nano Banana 2.1 and GPT Image 2.5 handle precise edits; Spicy Imagine Pro keeps facial features and lighting closest to the original.

What keeps a character looking the same from image to image?

Attach the same face reference to every generation and repeat the character’s description word for word. Nano Banana 2.1 and Spicy Imagine Pro both hold on to facial features well; the consistent character prompt guide shows full examples.

What is the highest resolution?

4K, on Nano Banana 2.1, Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image 2.5 and Spicy Imagine Pro. For print-size files, run the result through Image Upscale, which goes up to 8K.

Can I use the images commercially?

Under Spicy Studio’s Terms you own what you generate, subject to the licences of the underlying models. Making sure an image doesn’t infringe someone else’s trademark, likeness or copyright is your responsibility, and outputs carry metadata that marks them as AI-generated.

Does Image Lab allow 18+ content?

Only with the 18+ models, Spicy UNCENSORED and Wan 2.7 Image, which unlock after a one-time age confirmation saved to your account. They are for fictional or consenting adults only; anything involving minors, or real people without documented consent, is banned.
