AI Lip Sync: Make a Photo Talk With Your Own Audio

Lip Sync turns one portrait and one recording into a talking clip. Upload a face image and an MP3 of up to 60 seconds, and Spicy Lip Sync moves the mouth in time with the words. A clear, front-facing, well-lit portrait gives the best result, and an optional prompt can set the scene style, the expression or the mood.

Because the voice comes from your own file, the clip says exactly what you recorded, word for word. Use audio you have the rights to, and a face and voice that are yours, fictional or AI-generated, or belong to someone who has agreed to it, never anyone who hasn’t.

How to make a photo talk

  1. Upload the portrait

Choose a sharp photo in which the face looks toward the camera and is evenly lit. JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP files up to 50 MB are accepted.

  2. Add the audio

Upload the MP3 the face should speak, up to 60 seconds long. Trim silence at the start and end first, since billing follows the length of the audio.

  3. Pick a quality and, if you like, a prompt

Standard renders at 480p for 10 credits a second, Pro at 720p for 18. A short prompt such as “warm smile, soft window light, calm delivery” shapes the expression and the setting.

  4. Generate and download

The credit cost appears next to Generate before you start, and a failed run is refunded. Download the finished clip, or use Reuse Input to try another prompt with the same photo and audio.

Model and quality options

  • Spicy Lip Sync Standard

480p output at 10 credits per second of audio, a good fit for drafts and tests.

  • Spicy Lip Sync Pro

720p output at 18 credits per second, for the version you plan to publish.

  • Seedance 2.5 (Video Lab)

No recording yet? Seedance 2.5 writes speech and sound together with the picture, in clips of up to 30 seconds. Stay with Lip Sync when the words must match your audio exactly.

Prices and strengths of every model are listed on the AI Models page.

What a clip costs

You pay per second of audio, rounded up to the next full second, with a 5-second minimum: the shortest clip costs 50 credits on Standard or 90 on Pro, and 20 seconds on Standard cost 200. The 25 free credits on a new account don’t cover a sync, so you’ll need a plan (from €10 a month for 600 credits) or a one-time pack (from €2 for 90 credits).

Where lip sync helps

  • Talking-head clips that deliver a tip, a story or an update straight to camera.
  • Explainers and UGC-style ads read from a script you recorded.
  • Dubbing your own videos with a new voice-over.
  • A voice for an AI character or mascot you created in the Image Lab.

Lip Sync FAQ

How much does a lip sync clip cost?

10 credits per second of audio on Standard (480p) and 18 on Pro (720p), rounded up to the next second with a 5-second minimum. A 20-second Standard clip costs 200 credits, and the exact figure is shown before you generate.

How long can the audio be?

Up to 60 seconds per clip, as an MP3 of up to 25 MB. For a longer script, split it at natural pauses and sync each part from the same portrait.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear portrait with the face toward the camera and good, even light. It can be a photo of you or a character you generated in the Image Lab.

Can I use someone else’s face or voice?

Only with that person’s consent. Use your own face and voice, fictional or AI-generated characters, or real people who have agreed, plus audio you have the rights to; never make anyone appear to say something they haven’t agreed to.

Should I use Lip Sync or Seedance 2.5?

Lip Sync, when the words must match a recording you already have. If you want the AI to write the speech and sound with the picture, Seedance 2.5 in the Video Lab does it in one pass, for clips of up to 30 seconds.

What happens to my photo and audio?

They are processed by Spicy Studio and the AI provider running the model, stored temporarily while the clip is made and may be retained for service improvement, as the Privacy Policy explains; you keep ownership and can request deletion at any time. Unless you opt out, Spicy Studio may also use results that aren’t 18+ for service improvement and marketing.

Can I use the clips commercially?

Under the Terms you own what you generate, subject to the model licences, and you are responsible for the rights to the face and audio you upload. Outputs carry metadata that marks them as AI-generated.
