AI Product Templates for E-Commerce: Lifestyle Shots and Ads
Turn one clean product photo into lifestyle scenes, seasonal sets and ad variations with AI product templates, and keep every image true to the real item.
Real Product, AI Scene
A shopper can't touch your product, so the photos do the selling: the item in a kitchen, on a desk, in a gift box for the holidays. Each new setting used to mean another shoot. With a product template, you photograph the item once and let AI build the scene around it.
The rule that keeps this safe is simple: the photo of your real product is the source of truth. Templates restyle the background, light and props around it. They should never change what the buyer will receive.
From One Photo to a Full Set
1. Shoot the source. Plain background, soft daylight, the whole item in frame, colors as they really are. A phone is fine if the photo is sharp.
2. Pick a scene. Open the Product templates and choose a style that suits your brand: clean studio, natural materials, bold color, seasonal.
3. Generate. Click Use This Template, upload your product photo in the Image Lab and generate. Each template generation is 18 credits at 1K or 2K and 28 at 4K.
4. Inspect at 100%. Zoom into the label, logo, stitching, buttons and edges. If anything about the product changed, regenerate or discard it.
5. Fill the gaps. Multi-Shot turns one reference image into several cinematic variations at 16 credits per shot. Background Remover cuts the product out for a plain white main image (4 credits). Image Upscale prepares images for zoom or print at 2K, 4K or 8K for 8, 10 or 12 credits.
What to Make for Each Channel
Listing images. Marketplaces treat the main image differently from the rest. On Amazon, for example, the main image has strict rules (a pure white background among them), while lifestyle scenes belong in the additional slots. Our guide to Amazon image requirements and AI product photos covers Amazon, Etsy and Shopify in detail.
Seasonal sets. Keep the same product photo and swap the template for a holiday or summer scene, so the campaign changes but the product stays identical.
Ad creatives. Generate a handful of scenes with different backgrounds and moods, then let your ad platform's split tests show which one performs. A different scene is a real variable to test; tiny variations of one image usually aren't.
Social posts. Reuse one or two templates that match your store's look so your feed stays recognizable. When you want motion, our guide to product videos from one photo picks up from here.
Accuracy Rules That Protect Your Store
Show what ships. Same color, size, shape, quantity and included parts. Don't let a scene add accessories that aren't in the box, or crop out details buyers need.
Mind AI people. A photorealistic AI model holding your product may need a disclosure: Amazon asks for a metadata tag on images with fully AI-generated people, and other platforms have their own labels. Product-only scenes avoid the question.
Follow consumer law. In the US, Canada and Australia, the FTC, the Competition Bureau and the ACCC prohibit misleading product representations, whoever made the image. If a photo would surprise a buyer when the parcel arrives, don't use it.

What a Batch Costs
A realistic per-product budget: one template scene plus two retries at 2K (54 credits) and a 4K upscale of the image you keep (10 credits), so 64 credits per product. Eight products come to 512 credits, which fits inside Spicy Basic's 600 credits a month (€10). Add 4 credits per product if you also cut out a white-background main image.
New accounts get 25 free credits, enough to test one product scene at 2K. Plans and top-ups are on the pricing page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use AI product photos on Amazon?
+
Amazon expects every image to show the real product accurately, and its main image has strict rules, including a pure white background. AI scenes built around a real photo of your product fit best in the additional image slots, and images with fully AI-generated people need Amazon's metadata tag.
How do AI product templates work on Spicy Studio?
+
Pick a Product template, click Use This Template, upload a clean photo of your item in the Image Lab and generate. The template sets the scene, light and style around your product.
How much does an AI product photo cost?
+
A template generation is 18 credits at 1K or 2K and 28 at 4K. Background removal is 4 credits, and upscaling is 8, 10 or 12 credits for 2K, 4K or 8K.
Will the AI change my product?
+
It can, especially small text, logos and fine details, so check every image at full size and discard any that alter the item. Start from a sharp, evenly lit photo to reduce the risk.
Can I make several product shots from one photo?
+
Yes. Multi-Shot turns one reference image into several cinematic product variations at 16 credits per shot.
